In accordance with the April 2014 directive on electronic invoicing and public procurement (2014/55/EU), in 2020 suppliers to the various administrations will be oblig to invoice electronically in all European countries. This directive will mean significant savings for governments, while driving significant market progress in electronic invoicing.
In Spain, pursuant to the

The obligation to invoice electronically will be extend to large companies in 2017, and to small and mium-siz enterprises in 2020.
